Privacy Policy
This page explains the information LibriCloud uses to operate accounts and library services.
Information you provide
When you create an account, LibriCloud stores your name, email address and a securely hashed version of your password. If you contribute a book, the service also stores the book metadata, file, cover and rights information that you submit.
Service records
LibriCloud records account creation and sign-in timestamps, saved books, upload/review history and download counts. Download events may include a one-way hash derived from the connecting IP address for basic abuse and activity records.
Cookies and sessions
The website uses a session cookie so that you can remain signed in and so security controls such as CSRF protection can work.
If email delivery is enabled, LibriCloud may send verification, password-reset, support and service messages. SMTP credentials configured by administrators are used only for sending site email.
Retention and account deletion
Readers can delete their account from Account settings. Saved-book records are deleted with the account. Previously contributed books may remain in the catalogue with the uploader disconnected so that approved library records are not automatically destroyed.
